Festivals

Puçol is full of Mediterranean spirit, it has the perfect climate for locals and visitors alike to enjoy its many festivals taking place all year round in different neighbourhoods.
The Three Kings parade (‘cabalgata’) opens the festival calendar in January, followed by the bull-fighting festivities of Sant Antoni, a deeply rooted celebration in the whole of the Region of Valencia.
Later, carnivals and ‘fallas’ welcome springtime with their colour and joy. At this time of year our town’s festival calendar gets considerably busier.
In June, the bullfighting week and the bull of San Juan start the bullfighting festivals held in July in the Ildefonso Fierro and Hostalets neighbourhoods. In addition, during the summer months there is a wide-ranging programme of cultural, leisure and festive activities on offer at the beach, under the overall heading of Estiu Voramar.
In September, the town holds its patron saint celebration and local festival honouring the Virgin at the Foot of the Cross. This town festival combines musical performances, children’s games, bullfighting, religious celebrations, sports and activities to appeal to all audiences.
In autumn, the Barrio and Avenida neighbourhoods’ bullfighting festivals take place, and events are also organized for the 9 of October, a public holiday for the Region of Valencia.
